Call for artists!

Terror Camp 2023 is looking for artists who create work that includes themes of polar exploration, polar explorers, and the cultures of the Arctic and Antarctic to join our revamped virtual Artists’ Alley.

Deadline for applications: October 15, 2023

Terror Camp is a conference for academics and non-academics alike, and we are hoping to feature artists who engage with polar themes from across the creative spectrum.

During the two day virtual conference (December 9-10, 2023), artists in the Artists’ Alley will have their storefront featured on the Terror Camp website, and in the Terror Camp Discord.

Successful applications will be invited to submit an artist statement or bio, and a featured product of your choice. Photos of your featured product, plus your statement will be included on the Alley page of the Terror Camp website, along with any social media links you submit.

You don’t need to be a visual artist – novel writers, crafters, and other creatives are all welcome, as long as you are interested in selling your wares to Terror Camp attendees.

Requirements:

  • A virtual storefront on a platform of your choice (Etsy, Redbubble, Big Cartel, Shopify, etc) must be online and accessible by December 1, 2023.

Strongly Recommended:

  • If possible, offer a discount code of 15% or more to Terror Camp attendees on the days of the conference.

Applications to be part of Artists' Alley must be submitted by October 15, 2023.

All artists will be notified of inclusion in the Alley by October 15, 2023. Note that applicants are not guaranteed a spot in the alley. Terror Camp reserves the right to curate the Artists’ Alley based on internal needs and requirements.
