From the very beginning, Terror Camp has worked on the principle of radical accessibility. While many academic conferences and fan conventions can have high costs that create a barrier to entry, Terror Camp is and always will be free to attend.

 

As interest in Terror Camp has grown, so have its costs. In its first two years, Terror Camp expenses were assumed by the volunteer moderation team. 

 

Following Terror Camp III in December 2023, where we experienced a record 1000+ registrants, attendees were invited to support the financial future of this project. Since 2024, supporters have the option of donating at the time of registration, via a Pay-What-You-Can ticketing system, as well as making donations of any amount at any time via our Ko-Fi account. These generous contributions allow us to ensure continuity of access to online Terror Camp materials, and ensure we stay connected as a community.

 

Terror Camp is a community project, currently registered as an LLC in the state of New York, and not a licensed non-profit organization. To promote a culture of transparency and collaboration, please see our past and ongoing costs.
